We’re proud to offer a variety of energy efficiency and smart electrification rebates to help our members invest in high-efficiency equipment for their homes. By helping our members with some of the cost of these upgrades, these incentives may reduce the co-op’s overall energy consumption, lower participants’ energy costs, and encourage members to choose electric options over natural gas, propane, or other fossil fuel alternatives. And all this helps our cooperative and communities reach our clean energy goals.
To qualify:
Our rebates are stackable, meaning you can combine them with other incentives to maximize your total savings. By filling out our rebate application, you will also be applying for rebates through our local Energy Smart Colorado nonprofit partners at Walking Mountains and CORE.
You may also qualify for additional rebates through the new Colorado Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program (requires a separate application and work completed by approved contractors.
Members whose household income falls under 150% of the area median income for their county qualify for these expanded rebate amounts, twice the standard rebate amount. See chart below for qualification details >
Incentives are offered when a member enrolls in Potencia+FLEXIÓN or our Tarifa de tiempo de uso. Amounts vary based on system specs.
Why upgrade?
A well-sealed home envelope, coupled with the right amount of insulation, can make a significant difference on your energy usage. The EPA estimates that homeowners can save an average of 15% on heating and cooling costs (or an average of 11% on total energy costs) by air sealing their homes and adding insulation in attics, floors over crawl spaces and basements.

Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners for all climates. Today’s heat pumps can drastically reduce your electricity use compared to electric resistance heating, such as electric baseboard heaters.
These two-in-one systems also have the benefit of heating and cooling

Traditional resistance electric water heaters are often the largest energy consumers in your house. Heat-pump water heaters are more efficient than traditional electric water heaters because they draw heat from the air rather than generating it directly. That efficiency translates into lower electricity use and lower bills over time.

Heat pump dryers use a closed-loop system that recovers and reuses heat, rather than blowing it out the back like traditional vented or condenser dryers. They use up to 50%–60% less energy than conventional electric dryers, resulting in lower electric bills and a smaller carbon footprint

Induction heats cookware directly through electromagnetic energy, not by heating the cooktop surface first. This provides faster heating, better temperature control, and reduced energy use compared togas or traditional electric range.

These devices can help prevent multiple large appliances from running simultaneously (also known as “stacking”). That can reduce your peak demand, potentially lowering demand charges. They can be especially helpful in homes with electric vehicles, heat pumps, or older electrical panels; in some cases, they can help you avoid a costly panel upgrade.

Why upgrade?
These devices let two appliances safely share a single 240-volt outlet by automatically managing which one draws power at a time. For example, you can charge an electric vehicle using the same outlet as a dryer, or share one outlet between two EVs, without unplugging and re-plugging cords. The device prioritizes usage and switches power as needed, helping prevent overloads.
Rebate Eligibility Requirements:
Any certified energy management device that allows loads to safely share breaker output circuit

Smart or programmable thermostats can help save energy and money, improve comfort, y make temperature control easier. Smart thermostats can even automatically reduce heating and cooling when it is not needed and adapt to your daily routines. They can be adjusted remotely through smartphone apps, making them especially helpful for vacation properties. Many also offer energy-use insights.

We’re proud to offer expanded rebate amounts for members who may not qualify for traditional energy assistance programs, but who still may spend a significant portion of their monthly budget on energy costs.
To qualify, your household income must fall under 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for your county.
Our partners at CORE and Walking Mountains will work with you to verify your income during the application process.
These rebates help support long-term affordability in our expensive mountain valleys, while also lowering system costs, improving reliability, and ensuring the benefits of efficiency and clean energy are shared fairly amongst all members of our co-op.

Why go all-electric?
An all-electric home can be a smart fit for mountain living. High-efficiency heat pumps provide reliable, comfortable heating even in very cold weather. That means lower safety risks, more predictable energy costs, and cleaner indoor air. And as our electricity supply gets cleaner, going all-electric helps protect the landscapes and air quality that make mountain communities special.
