Our Community Energy Systems program awards in-kind support for projects that offer significant community benefits and advance our vision of a responsible transition to a clean energy future.

Qualifying projects may involve renewable energy generation, microgrids to increase resiliency, solar paired with storage to increase demand flexibility, and large EV charging stations in multi-family residential areas to increase smart electrification.

English in Action 

  • New all-electric facility in Basalt, the Center for Communications

Gypsum Early Learning Center

  • All-electric workforce housing with EV charging

Town of Avon Public Works Campus

  • All-electric garage facility for the town, including EV chargers, plus solar with battery energy storage

Timber Ridge Vail

  • Deed-restricted, all-electric housing units for local workforce

West End Edwards

  • All-electric multi-family housing complex, with 75% deed restricted units, solar, and EV charging for residents

Aspen Valley Hospital

  • Housing for “on-call” staff with heat pumps for heating and cooling, plus EV charging
