The votes are in!
With 4,171 total ballots cast, you have elected fellow members Kimberly Schlaepfer to represent the Northern District and Robert Gardner to represent the Southern District on the Holy Cross Energy Board of Directors.
Meet Kimberly > Meet Robert >
Thanks to all the candidates, all the members who voted, and to everyone who joined in on the fun of last week’s Annual Meeting.
An additional huge thank you to outgoing Nothern District Board Director, Kristen Bertuglia, who is stepping down from her seat after 13 years of service. Thank you for helping Holy Cross Energy “light the way forward” for so many years, Kristen!
Our 2024 Annual Report—keeping your power affordable, reliable, safe, and clean.
Packed full of financial details, program participation numbers, and progress updates on our strategic plan, we invite you to take a look at our newly released 2024 Annual Report.
At Holy Cross Energy, affordability, reliability, safety, and sustainability aren’t trade-offs—they are co-equal priorities. You shouldn’t have to choose one over another, and we take pride in having delivered on all four in 2024.
Any one of those stats is impressive enough on its own. But being able to achieve all four at the same time? That shows the true strength of your cooperative.

Congrats to these dozen outstanding young leaders!
Last month, we awarded scholarships to twelve local high school graduates to pursue continuing education in a variety of fields. Help us wish them luck as they grow into our next generation of leaders in the workforce!

Earn bill credits when you use less "Peak Time" electricity.
If we can reduce the amount of peak-time electricity we need to buy from wholesale power suppliers, we can pass savings on to our members who voluntarily reduce their electric use during those times.
By signing up for Peak Time Payback, you can:
- Earn bill credits for conserving electricity during specified peak times
- Help the co-op reduce our collective peak energy costs
- Enroll for free, with no cost to participate
Some of the best ways to earn these bill credits in the summer months?
- Set your A/C a few degrees warmer during the alert timeframe (you can even “pre-cool” your space beforehand)
- Delay your dishwasher to run after the alert timeframe
- If you cook with electric appliances, fire up that outdoor grill!
Are you signed up for your county's emergency alerts?
When it comes to wildfire, staying informed is the first step for keeping our communities safe.
Our counties’ public safety agencies have all enabled Everbridge, a text message emergency notification system that provides essential information quickly in a variety of situations, such as fires, severe weather, floods, unexpected road closures, or evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods. This is one of the best and fastest ways to stay informed of potentially dangerous events in your area.
Pro Tip – after signing up, you can go back into your account and edit your subscriptions based on alert type and area.
