  3. Aspen Mountain Road closure

Holy Cross Energy will be replacing a main electric feeder on Aspen Mountain, resulting in the closure of Aspen Mountain Road from Wednesday, August 14 to Wednesday, September 4.

Vehicles will not be able to travel on Aspen Mountain Road from the City of Aspen to the top of Aspen Mountain. Access to the top, on the backside of the mountain, will remain open via Little Annie Road off Castle Creek Road.

Pedestrians will need to use the trails located between the snow making control building and Ruthie’s Restaurant instead of Aspen Mountain Road.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
