Evergreen Solar

A new income-qualified program to help you save on your electric bill.

Only members who have previously participated in the Colorado Energy Office’s Weatherization Assistance Program are eligible.

  • Reduce your monthly electric bill, for life!
  • Gain access to locally produced clean solar energy
  • Participate at no cost, as an added bonus to your previous Weatherization Assistance Program participation
  • Holy Cross Energy, in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office, will be providing income-qualified members with clean and renewable energy credits each month from a local solar array located in Rifle, Colorado.
  • If you previously particpated in the Weatherization Assistance Program, you automatically qualify for these bill credits!
  • You do not need to install anything on your home, or make any changes to your electrical service.   
  • You will receive a monthly bill credit representing your portion of the solar array’s total energy output.
  • You will continue to receive these bill credits as long as you reside in Holy Cross Energy service territory, with electric service in your name (for as long as the solar array produces energy).
  • You will save an estimated $400 per year and won’t pay anything to participate—it’s all at no cost to you!
The Evergreen Solar array is located in Rifle, Colorado, near the Garfield County Airport.
