The Round-Up Foundation was created by Holy Cross Energy members to help neighbors facing unexpected challenges.
Round-Up is funded by members who voluntarily round up their monthly bills, and all contributions matched by Holy Cross Energy. It provides one-time financial assistance to income-qualified Holy Cross Energy members facing urgent or short-term needs.
Each application is reviewed by a volunteer board made up of Holy Cross Energy members and employees who are committed to supporting our communities and ensuring funds are directed where they can make the greatest impact.
A little change can make a big difference.
By rounding up your bill to the nearest dollar —or more!—you can help support local families in need and the organizations that serve them.
We match every cent you contribute to make your gift go even further. By rounding up, the most you’ll ever donate in a year adds up to $11.88.
That’s small change, but together, it adds up to make a big difference.
You must meet these four requirements to apply for Round-Up assistance:
1 — Your household must receive electric service from Holy Cross Energy
Round-Up Foundation assistance is a benefit of Holy Cross Energy membership. You may apply if you have lived in a household served by Holy Cross Energy for at least the past 90 days.

2 — Your request must be related to a one-time hardship, emergency, or unforeseen circumstance
Round-Up assistance is intended to help income-qualified Holy Cross Energy members with one-time, crisis-related expenses resulting from an unexpected life event or emergency. It is not intended to provide ongoing financial assistance.
We evaluate funding requests individually, based on need and available resources, and award up to $1,500 per application.

3 — You must already be working with another assistance organization
Working with a local assistance organization helps connect you to other available resources and ensures Round-Up funds are used where they can have the greatest impact.

4 — You must not have previously received Round-Up Foundation assistance
To help as many neighbors as possible, individuals may receive assistance from the Round-Up Foundation just one time.
If you meet the above requirements, we invite you to apply for funding.
Applications are reviewed by a volunteer board of Holy Cross Energy members and staff. The goal is to fund projects that will have the greatest impact for the most people.
Your application should clearly show how the funds will help address the specific needs you identify.
