Our Sustainable Solar program helps reduce electric bills by providing income-qualified members access to locally-generated renewable energy. Up to 50% of electric bills are covered.

We take all the energy produced from our two income-qualified solar arrays at our Cooley Mesa Operations Center and give it back to our members who need it the most. There are currently 90 spots for the program, and participation is available via an application lottery.

How it works

  • Income-eligible members apply to participate in the program
  • Two-year participation period
  • The solar energy produced is used to offset your electricity costs
  • For more information, call us at 970-945-5491

Who can apply

  • Holy Cross Energy members who meet the qualifying income levels of 80% of their county’s Area Median Income (AMI)
  • Homeowners and renters in single-family homes, apartments and mobile homes
  • Families, couples, individuals, and seniors
