Open board seat to be filled by Adam Quinton of Edwards
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLO., February 7, 2020 — Holy Cross Energy (HCE) today announced the appointment of new Director Adam Quinton to the Board of Directors.
The HCE Board of Directors completed a process in accordance with the HCE bylaws to fill the vacancy through a vote of the Board of Directors. Mr. Quinton was selected following an open call for applications and selection process.

We were incredibly fortunate to have many experienced, passionate and capable applicants who were willing to serve to represent the best interests of HCE and its membership. We sincerely appreciate the interest and willingness of those who applied,” said Megan Gilman, Chair of the HCE Board of Directors.
The Board vacancy was created by the resignation of Larissa Read of Edwards. Read is relocating out of the area, making her no longer eligible to continue with her seat on the Board. Her resignation will be effective March 1. Read began serving on the Holy Cross Energy Board in June 2019.
“We appreciate the great value and insights Larissa brought to the Holy Cross Energy Board of Directors. On behalf of all of those at Holy Cross Energy, we wish Larissa and her family the best in their next chapter,” Gilman said.
HCE is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors, who are elected by HCE members. The Board sets the overall strategic direction of HCE, as well as providing oversight of the cooperative’s finances and President/CEO. Directors serve 3-year terms with seats distributed according to population among the Holy Cross service territory. The Northern District has a total of four directors, representing the area from Vail to Dotsero. Quinton will serve the remainder of Read’s term, which runs through the 2022 election cycle.
