Holy Cross Energy CO2 Emissions
The table below shows the total wholesale electric purchases and retail sales made by Holy Cross Energy to serve customer load for each calendar year going forward from 2005. The CO2 intensity in the table below is calculated by dividing total emissions (converted to pounds) by Total Sales minus WPP/LREP Sales (in kWh). To view the resource profile used to serve customer load in a given year, please open the appropriate file from the list below.

Holy Cross Energy gathers data from wholesale suppliers and government entities to estimate the resource profile used to serve customer load and the associated CO2 emissions. These values are calculated at the generator or purchase level when possible and then adjusted for transmission and distribution losses and for sales of renewable energy (under the Wind Pioneers or Local Renewable Energy Pool Programs). These values are calculated based on the best information available in a timely manner, but are subject to further revision based on new information. For further information on how the system-wide average emissions factor is calculated or how to calculate the emissions associated with your purchases from HCE, please see this document entitled “Calc_Methods.pdf”.
If you have further questions about how this information was calculated, please contact Chris Hildred at (970) 947-5414 or childred@holycross.com.
If you need assistance calculating the emissions associated with your electricity purchases, please contact Steve Casey at (970) 947-5430 or scasey@holycross.com.
